Control System Integration
Coming soon: We’re working with our control system partners to create IR/RS232/Ethernet drivers to control the NVR’s on-screen GUI through the HDMI output. If you’re looking for video streaming to control systems, check out our Wirepath cameras.
Megapixel Resolution Requires Megabit Speed
Recording 2MP cameras is like drinking from a fire hose. They send out a lot of data! To handle all that data, this NVR has plenty of horsepower under the hood – with the ability to record four full 8Mbps streams (1080HD) at the same time.
Advanced Compression Technologies
Commercial customers monitoring cash registers may want higher quality with an archive of only a couple days, while a residential customer may want to monitor a vacation home with normal resolution – BUT with an extended recording time of a couple weeks. These different applications call for different recording resolutions and frame rates to maximize the system's performance and meet the needs of the customer. This NVR combines the latest H.264 compression algorithm with D1, Half-D1, and CIF resolutions and customizable frame rate settings - all to deliver the highest quality images while reducing network bandwidth and storage requirements.
Easy Installation and Setup
Get What You Pay For
When you buy a 4-channel NVR, shouldn’t it support four cameras? Some of our competitors don’t think so. They only enable one NVR channel out of the box, and then require you to pay for a license for each of the remaining ones – a process that complicates quoting and slows down installations. That’s why when you buy a Wirepath NVR it comes with all channels enabled…because that just makes sense.
IP Installer Utility
So you have all your IP surveillance gear installed… now, how do you find them on the network? Our IP installer utility takes the pain out of this process by “sniffing” out all Wirepath IP cameras, NVRs and encoders. Just click a discovered camera or encoder to view its live video for quick identification, then easily configure its IP configuration details.
Intuitive User Interface
A clean, streamlined user interface makes it easy for customers to monitor IP surveillance cameras right from their computer. Just create a desktop shortcut or add a Favorite to provide one-click access to individual cameras. It doesn’t get easier than that!
View the IP NVR Browser GUI Introduction Video
Some other guys want to charge you for the privilege of accessing your IP cameras, encoders and NVRs remotely. But isn't that the whole point? At Wirepath™, we've taken a different approach. Use your computer, or our suite of free applications to view cameras while at the office or on the go. Here are the details:
Live View: See who's doing what in real-time on any IP surveillance device. Both full screen and matrix views are supported.
Playback: Want to see what time Junior came home? Just search for the appropriate time and playback through the Time Search and Event Search functions.
Setup: Need to make changes to the NVR remotely? Use the Windows browser-based user interface to adjust system settings from anywhere in the world.
Dual Stream: Compensate for low bandwidth networks on-the-fly by choosing the extra stream for faster performance at slightly reduced resolution. Note:
Currently this feature is only available on a PC.
Windows Support: Internet Explorer 32bit only.
Dynamic DNS Support
Which is easier to remember… "126.96.36.199" or "yourcustomer.WirepathDNS.com". Instead of searching your records for cumbersome IP addresses, Dynamic DNS provides a permanent, easy-to-remember name that never changes – even if the customer’s home is assigned a new IP address by the service provider. Our free WirepathDNS service is fast and easy to set up and it provides maximum uptime thanks to redundant USA-based servers located across the country. Popular third-party DNS servers are also supported.
Sure, you could hover over your NVR watching cameras all day to see if something was amiss - but wouldn't it just be easier to get an email with an attached screenshot? With event-based alerts, you can create custom notifications for motion detection or alarm triggers.
User Access Levels
With the ability to set specific user access levels, you control who sees which cameras, and who is allowed to adjust important settings. So you can give the pool guy access to see a few specific cameras, but nothing more. And you can provide your tech with the ability to change settings but not view any video – making your customer’s privacy considerations a priority.
Central Management Software – Coming Soon!
Logging into individual cameras one-at-a-time can be both time consuming and confusing. Wirepath central management software (CMS) cuts the complexity by allowing the homeowner or business to monitor multiple cameras and installations – all at once, and all from a single customizable interface. This universal software is compatible with Wirepath cameras, encoders and NVRs.
Note: CMS software is compatible with Windows® PCs and is for remote viewing only. For recording, a NVR or optional SD card must be used.
By defining areas of interest – like a door, driveway or window – you can define when the NVR should start recording video. You can schedule recordings, or the NVR can record when there is motion. This not only conserves hard drive space, but also means you can record for more days before older recordings are overwritten.
Block out sensitive or privileged areas by placing rectangular blocks or "masks" over installer-defined areas.
Sometimes listening just isn't enough. Sometimes you need to talk to the person on the other end. Audio inputs to the NVR enable you to do this right through Internet Explorer on your PC! Think of the uses: gated entrances, elevators, assisted living, saferooms - there are a number of applications where you want the person on the other end to know you're listening.
Note: Requires a third party 3.5mm mic.
Internal Expandable Storage
In some applications, like in a retail environment or vacation home, you may find you want additional storage to extend the number of days of recorded video. This NVR can support two SATA hard disc drives (HDD), and it comes with a single 1TB HDD that’s populated out of the box. There is also one empty internal drive bay with included cables for system expansion.
Multiple Video Outputs (HDMI, VGA)
Let's face it, different jobs call for different types of video signals. And then again, some call for all of them! Whether you need our highest quality HDMI output for multi-room distribution, or a local VGA display or TV – this NVR has you covered.
PTZ Control and more!
In addition to control of pan/tilt/zoom on IP PTZ cameras, this NVR has a few tricks up its sleeve. When combined with a Wirepath encoder to create a hybrid surveillance solution, you also get control over detailed analog camera settings, like Sense-Up and D-WDR, directly from the NVR’s web user interface. This frees you from the ladder once basic zoom/focus adjustments are made and allows those advanced options to be configured from a more convenient (and comfortable) location.
Whether at home, on the job or sitting at the airport, this NVR enables you to simultaneously perform six system operations all at once:
- 1. Recording
- 2. Live Viewing
- 3. Playback
- 4. Streaming to Control Systems directly from Wirepath IP cameras
- 5. Backup/Archive
- 6. Remote Access
